I am an expressive arts therapist and artist and I have always been creative.
I've had some art exhibitions of my art here in Finland and had very nice feedback of my works. But I'm more in my element as a therapist. And I personally like to keep my art as free as possible, without any deadlines or "have-tos" so that I can create when ever I feel like it.
Ecofriendliness and organic (as much as possible) production is important to me, because I see the damage human kind is doing to nature. We need to protect the nature and environment!!!
But we also need new clothing, at times.
So, when needing something, by purchasing ecofriendly and organic items you reduce the pollution and support sustainable development. The small deeds of many make together a large stream.
I'm as ecofriendly and organic as possible in this shop, however they may be some items not fully up to these standards. F.e. porcelain mugs, which are impossible to get organic from POD service providers.
But even a little is more that nothing.
While instructing expressive arts therapy groups I discovered that a hoodie dress is the most perfect working outfit. It is flexible, yet good looking. And it goes well with jeans, leggings and pantyhose! So it is usable also outside working hours. And it is warm enough in my working space which can get a bit chilly in the winter.
I really wanted to have a cool looking hoodie dress. And my previous one was wearing out. I've had some hoodies from fashion brands but they are.... kind of generic. And I wanted to have something that can make a statement. Support my work. What more suitable to start with than Trust The Process, a sentence I keep repeating in every arts therapy group. Because you'll never know what the outcome of an artistic process will be. And I guide a lot of people who have no experience nor the confidence for doing art by themselves. "Low skill, high sensitivity" is the key. But you often need someone to say that and remind you!
I've been a seamstress before and thought about making my hoodie dress from scratch. But my time is very limited as a mom of two teenagers and growing my business as a therapist. And I don't own printing equipment so I would have had to have the printing made anyway somewhere.
And I found out that my colleagues and customers are also interested to have statement clothing!
I came accross this concept of Print on Demand and started to look into it. And I decided to give it a go as a side hustle. Maybe also other people around the world may want to have something from my clothing line.
The Trust The Process hoodie dress was my first one I ordered to myself. And I love it! It doesn't wear out at all even though I've washed it several times already, no fraying, no nothing, as good as new after several months os use! And I've gained lots of pretty comments about it when wearing while working, lecturing, having a Youtube interview etc.
I design all my designs by myself so these are all original, you can't get them anywhere else! It has been a venture to learn to create with digital devices instead of paints, paper and a brush or even my fingers... Maybe someday I'll be able to have a drawing tablet and create digital paintings too!
I'm working on to have good enough quality pictures of my paintings so that I can start to sell them also on shirts, hoodies, mugs etc.
I'm a spiritual person and I love all things crystal and semiprecious stones, as you can see in my store.
But my son is more of "metal man", and I made him a couple of hoodies and t-shirts too. Because as there is light, there must also be darkness so that we can become conscious about the two. And because he was involved in the creative process I thought there might be also others that would like to have such pic in their clothing.
My male friend also is more of "rough boy" so he got his own hoodie too (the one with a skull with a crown in the back of the hoodie).
Most of the shirts in my shop are unisex/gender neutral. But feel free to explore any section, you might find something nice! Just make sure the measurements are correct. There are size guides to help you with that, both in metrics and in imperial.
If you have any wishes for me to design a specific item or any questions of an item please feel free to contact me via messages.
Happy shopping!
